Children's Services - Health & Community Services

Do you love working with children and other people? Do you work well as part of a team and have a sense of fun? A career in Children’s Services is perfect if you have a genuine respect for children as younger human beings with their own needs and a sense of responsibility about the role you play in caring for them. You’ll also need to enjoy playing with children, being creative and getting messy. Children’s Services involves working closely with people from different ages, cultures and backgrounds including children aged 0-12 years, families, colleagues and the community. Employment opportunities in Children’s Services are vast, with high demand for workers particularly in Family Day Care and Long Day Care and there is a current shortage of Diploma-qualified staff.
