Massage - Health & Community Services
Remedial Massage Therapists can work as a sole practitioner or with other health professionals such as physiotherapists, naturopaths and chiropractors. Remedial Massage Therapists manipulate the soft tissue, ligaments, muscle, facial and tendons for the treatment of muscular dysfunction.
There is an increasing trend for hospitals and other health care agencies such as the Multiple Sclerosis Society of WA to employ massage therapists, which is increasing the demand for qualified massage therapists. To succeed in this course and enjoy working as a massage therapist you should have an interest in people's wellbeing, good communication skills, and be reasonably fit.
1 Massage courses are offered at Central Institute of Technology.
