Central’s Open Day was an outstanding success, attracting approximately 1,000 visitors despite the blustery weather. The event gave visitors are chance to speak directly to Central’s staff and to discuss the full range of training Central has to offer.
The main reception was held in 30 Aberdeen Street, Central’s new $62 million building. The area was lively, with visitors engaging Central’s lecturers and portfolio managers about course content and the career pathways presented at Central. Visitors also wandered through to the other Central buildings on Aberdeen Street where their classes will be based.
Visitors were given tours of Central’s Fitness Centre and the CUT Mine. There was also the Tagit! Challenge where visitors had the opportunity to win a new iPad. Outside, hotdogs sizzled for hungry visitors.
“With over 1,000 staff and visitors involved, Open Day 2012 was a huge success and probably the biggest event we’ve ever had,” said Kenley Gordon, Central’s Marketing Director.
