Become a Central Student

Enrolment occurs once you've been given an offer of a place in the course. You now need to go through the process of paying and providing some details to us.

Some courses will require you to come in on campus to enrol. Others will give you the option of online enrolment.

You will be given the options available to you, as well as a link to the date, time and location of your  enrolment in your letter of offer.

You must enrol in order to begin your course.

Online Enrolment

If you are given the option of online enrolment, you need to visit:  Central’s student portal.

Go to the Self Enrolment menu and select  Full time Award Course Search . A list of the subjects that you have chosen for enrolment will be displayed

Note:

Please be aware, that in order to be considered as a Central student a payment arrangement regarding your fees must be organised.

 Pay

How Much Will it Cost?

Your course fees are made up of two components:

1. Course Fee

The course fee is calculated on the basis of the course hours for each unit.

These hours include a wide range of delivery and assessment activities and may not always be used for classroom teaching. The course fee is the sum of fees for all units you are enrolled in and is capped at $626.00 or $313.00 if you have proof of concession.

2. Resource Fee

The resource fee covers the materials and any other services used as a part of a unit. Resource fee costs vary from unit to unit depending on the content of the qualification.  Some qualifications such as art and design, fashion, and photography incur high resource fees.
Each course page gives an indication of the resource fee on the fees tab, however you will only find out the exact amount you need to pay when you enrol.
All fees and charges must be paid at the time of enrolling, unless you qualify for an instalment plan, which is only for students who are experiencing financial difficulties. There may be additional costs that you will pay during the course to cover items such as textbooks.
Concession Rate
The concession rate is available to students who receive one of the following concessions:
  • Austudy/Abstudy
  • Centrelink Health Care Card 15-17 year old concession (students born in 1996, 1997 or 1998 are eligible for the 15-17 year old concession category. Proof of age will be required)
  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • Veteran Health Card.
To claim the concessional rate you must provide proof of your concession at the time of enrolment otherwise you will be charged the full cost.
Ways to Pay
You can either pay online by credit card or in person at a Student Servcies counter by credit card or EFTPOS, cheque or money order.  For safety reasons will only accept cash under exceptional circumstances.
