Central Institute of Technology has extensive experience in the delivery of traineeships across a diverse range of industry areas.

What is a Traineeship?

Employers provide on the job training to students who work towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Full-time traineeships are usually conducted over one or two years, and there is flexibility to suit your business: full time, part time or school based.

Employer partnership with Central

After you have recruited a trainee, Central, as the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) will:
 
  • Negotiate a Training Plan (TP) between you and your trainee to outline details of the training to be undertaken, where it will happen and how it will be assessed.
  • Coordinate training and assessments; you will be guided in how to provide workplace supervision and training to the trainee.
  • Monitor the progress of training and assessment and issue a Certificate to the trainee on completion of all training requirements.

 Apprentices

 

Apprentices

Employing an apprentice can increase the skill base and add considerable value to your business by:
  • Initiating a flexible training model to suit your company requirements with minimal disruption to the workplace.
  • Receiving support and guidance from highly skilled Central trainers.
  • Giving you control over your recruitment process.

Partnership with Central

Once you have entered into a contract with an apprentice, Central, as your Registered Training Provider (RTO), will with work with you to develop a training plan.

Central will train your apprentice off the job and monitor progress, while you are responsible for the daily training and supervision.

Central will assess the apprentice and issue a nationally accredited qualification on successful completion of the course.
