Key Points
  • Limit your letter to 1 page.
  • Always type your letter using an easy to read font.
  • Never re-use an old letter. It shouldbe tailored to the person, position and/or employer.
  • Use positive and professional language.
  • Format your letter correctly.
  • Check your spelling and grammar
