Paying your fees
You should arrange the payment of your fees during the enrolment process. Your enrolment might be removed from the system if you don't arrange your payment within a reasonable timeframe.
There are two options for managing your payment, with the majority of students paying in full upfront during enrolment.
1. Paying in full upfront
In order to be considered as an enrolled student your fees must be paid in full.
Payment options:
Payment can be made in person by EFTPOS, cheque or credit card during enrolment.
You can pay remotely by direct deposit to the Institute bank account, by deductions from your Centrelink payments, or a payment via credit card over the phone.
2. Paying in instalments
(only students experiencing financial difficulties)
If you are experiencing financial hardship and can demonstrate this, you can apply to pay your fees in instalments.
You must make a minimum initial payment of $100 and all remaining fees must be paid in agreed instalments, within 8 weeks from the commencement of the semester.
You will be entering into a contract:
Please be aware that when entering into an instalment plan, you are entering into a contract.
In the event that you withdraw, this contract will stand and any fees owing after any refunds have been calculated, will still have to be paid.
If you are on or are arranging a Payment Plan, please ensure that you make the suggested payments every fortnight. All standard payment plans for Semester 2 2012 must be finalised by the 17th of September. Fees owing after this date will be referred to a Debt Collector and student results will be withheld until payment has been finalised.
If you are having problems making your repayments or will not be able to pay your fees by the due date, you will need to contact our Student Debtors office on 9202 4710.
A payment plan can only be extended if you elect to organise a direct debit with us. This is the only circumstance in which we will extend a payment plan and arrangements can be made at our Student Services.
Students who do not pay their payment plans by the due date and do not contact to have the payment plan extended via direct debit, WILL have their debt referred to a Debt Collector.
Payment options:
Please note, your first payment/deposit cannot be over the phone or by EFTPOS.
Debts from a previous semester:
Students who have a debt from the previous semester, will not be able to enrol for the following semester. Please contact our Student Debtors Office to arrange payment for any outstanding debts.
