This course is a direct continuation of Beginners 1. Words and phrases learned are revised and extended to new situations and more cultural information on the countries is added. On completion of this course, you'll be able to communicate in basic Chinese Mandarin with more confidence and competence in a wider range of situations.


You are given every opportunity to develop your confidence and skills by participating in pair and group activities. Teachers are generally native speakers of the language taught.

Where this course can lead you

Central's language short courses are ideal for those who are going overseas and wish to learn another language. You can communicate to locals and find employment in non-English speaking jobs. Our language courses also provide you with the opportunity for further study in one of our Applied Language Certificates.
