If you want to work overseas then Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is a path to consider. In this postgraduate course you will learn how to develop TESOL curriculum, assess English language students and gain advanced language analysis skills.  Central offers this course to those who have an interest in teaching and would like to advance within the TESOL industry in Australia and overseas. You'll be able to work as an English teacher both in Australia and overseas.

Prerequisites for this course are:

  • A Bachelor Degree (any discipline), three year Diploma or other equivalent higher education qualification  OR

  • Not less than three years full-time vocational TESOL experience (or equivalent).


Applicants from a non-English speaking background must have a minimum of :

  • IELTS 6.5, with no score under 6  OR

  • ISPLR with two skills at 3+ and two skills at 3 (or equivalent).
